Update made enemies stronger maybe??? - Guild Wars Forums

at beacons perch, me and a friend decided to go south toward granite cathedral, we were met immediatly out the gate by hordes of level 24-28 enemies. Is this right? I mean even a ton of level 20's would probably fail, we had 4 bots and he was a 15and myself a 13, so an avg. team.

we cant even go around, every road was filled with em. what is the best way to get to granite cathedral? we figured we would go about and do quite a few missions and level up, but errrr.... that powerful is kinda uneven.

Lornar's Pass is meant to be tough. To put it simply, you shouldn't be going to Droknar's Forge/Granit Citadel yet.

Keep doing your missions and you'll make it there eventually as part of the story line.

I assume you mean Granite Citadel. It's far far FAR into the game, if you don't attempt to bypass the content. The only way to bypass the content is to go south from Beacon's Perch with a group of suicidal folks and make your way down through 3 very difficult zones (Lornar's Pass, Dreadnought's Drift, and Snake Dance.) The zones south of Beacon's perch, and it's connectivity are meant as a deterent for lower levels.

Heck, at 20, ascended, infused, yadda yadda yadda, taking out my party of 8 (me and 7 henchmen or some friends) these zones are STILL difficult.

Suggestion: Continue through the game. Keep heading around through Kryta, the Maguuma Swamp, and then to the Crystal Desert. It's a good trip and there's a lot to see. You can do it either through missions or through exploration. But you'll have to do the Sanctum Cay mission in order to get to the Crystal Desert.
